American rapper, Eminem reportedly spent hundreds of millions of dollars to buy a non-fungible token (NFT) 'Bored Ape' that resembles him.
Artwork display these monkeys did he jadiin profile photo on his Twitter account. NFT itself is owned by a Twitter account called @Gee_Gazza.
Previously on January 1, the account said that he had succeeded in selling the artwork in the form of a white hairy monkey wearing a hat and jacket and a gold-colored chain necklace to the rapper.
"Thank you @Eminem for buying my ape and joining the club!” wrote @Gee_Gazza by inserting a screenshot of Eminem's Twitter profile using his artwork.
The account even jokingly offered to co-write the lyrics for the 49-year-old rapper's single.
"Stupid. Let me write a lyric for your next single ," he added, attaching a laughing emoji.
Reportedly by Decrypt , Eminem bought the Ape artwork for 123.45 Ethereum or $450,000
Decrypt claims that the white monkey artwork is one of the 15 NFTs that Eminem has purchased through his OpenSea account, @Shady_Holdings.
As NME reports , Eminem is just one of many top American celebrities to collect NFT from the Bored Ape Yacht Club, from presenter Jimmy Fallon to basketball player Steph Curry to rapper Snoop Dogg. (*)
